- Enlistment can be from two to six years. Applicant must be from 17 to 34 years old and in good health.
- All applicants take a Vocational Aptitude test (ASVAB) offered at most high schools and enlistment sites to see what career they're best suited for.
- The GI Bill provides Education benefits after leaving the military.
